DAY 20 – Marina bound in Cadiz

LOCATION – CADIZ, SPAIN
CREW – ME, STEVE, AHMET
WIND – NW FORCE 3
SEA STATE – CALM
WEATHER – CLEAR

After a good night’s rest Steve got on sorting the engine problems and we all took advantage of the facilities and got laundry done, sampled the local beers 😉 and had a wander round the beautiful little town of Cadiz.  The first chance of the whole trip to nearly have a whole day ashore with not a huge amount to do except relax, so we did 🙂

With the engine repaired and the sail tear repair delayed till we get to Gibraltar (we can reef the sail to the third reef and still use it, not that practical) but if the engine stays on we should be able to make the 70 mile trip with a good following wind, we plan to leave in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Friday 10th June) to get to the marina in daylight, the 70 mile trip should be about 12 hours with our now limited sailing ability.
